<div class="section1"><div class="Normal"><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">BETTIAH: Two criminals were killed in a gangwar while another was lynched by villagers in the Pipraihiya Gandak diara under Dhanaha police station in West Champaran on Saturday.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">Sources said that villagers working in the fields intervened in the internecine gun battle which had already claimed two victims, identified as Rajendra Pal and Yogendra Kurmi.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">"Hearing gun shots in the diara, villagers tending to their paddy and sugarcane fields rushed to give the criminals a hot chase," sources said adding "they overpowered one fleeing criminal and lynched him".
The villagers also recovered a cache of firearms abandoned by the gangsters in their desperation to flee, the sources further said.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">Additional forces from district police headquarters at Bagaha have been rushed to reinforce the local police force, police sources said.</span></div> </div>
